That’s no joke!
In 2010 I was hosting a Strongman seminar at my gym with two incredible Strongmen, Bud Jeffries and Scott Weech,Jr.
They covered a quite a few types of lifts and exercises, like log presses and yoke walks.
Part way through the seminar, Bud Jeffries picks up a barbell that only had plates on one end.
The he started swinging this thing around his body and pulling back to the front for reps.
I had never since that done before.
I mean Bud is monster strong and can do almost anything with weights, but why that, I had no clue.
Come to find out several years later that he was using it as a mace.
In 2016 Don Giafardino introduced me to steel mace and club training.
I was hooked right away.
So the moral of the story is if you don’t have a mace, you can use a barbell instead.
That is if you’re strong enough.
It would be wise to use a 15 lb training bar, not a 45 lb barbell.
Now go sling some steel!
