People put labels on just about everything and everyone. It just seems to be how our brains work.
But is it really?
It could be lack of knowledge, impatience, or just plain laziness.
People often don’t take the time to get the full picture.
Facts are often overlooked in the rush to give an opinion on something.
Check this out.
For about ten years there was a Jamaican diner next door to my gym, the Cave.
The food was fantastic! The atmosphere was lively, and laughter filled the place.
You would think the place would be full of Jamaicans, but it wasn’t.
Many of the people I met were from Barbados or some other island.
An outsider might think they were all the same, but they weren’t.
It’s kind of like that in the fitness world in general and the mace world in particular.
“Steel Mace” is the generic name many people use.
It could mean flow or just basic movements like 360’s.
Here’s the point:
Mace Fit® is not a “steel mace” program.
It is very different, on purpose.
As the creator and U.S. coordinator of Mace Fit® I have built much more into this program than steel mace.
Ask anyone who has gone through our certification and you’ll see what I mean.
Mace Fit® uses Adex steel clubs also.
We don’t just swing maces.
Our program is strength-based and involves isometrics, isotonics and heavy club work.
Many of our exercises are not done standing up. Some are done on one or both knees or sitting on the floor.
Why?
Because life doesn’t always hit you when you are ready.
We train for the real world.
Learn how to do that through our online courses.
