Tendon strength matters

Tendons are like steel cables like those on tow trucks.

Towing a compact car is one thing but try to tow a school bus with the same cable.

It’s probably going to break pretty fast.

A heavy-duty tow truck is needed.

Since tendons attach muscles to bones, they need to be strong, especially if you lift heavy or do high rep work.

Here’s two ways to build tendon strength.

First are isometric exercises, like horse stances, lunges, crucifix holds aka Iron Cross.

There is n o movement in them.

Second are isotonic exercises aka Russian exercises.

Russian plank flys are good.

The movements are slow and steady.

Stronger tendons will improve your lifts, swings, pullovers, etc.

Let’s build them up in 2026!
