Today there will be lots of hoopla and celebrating on one side. On the other side there will be protests and rage. We must not let hatred of the opposing political party be more important than the love of our country. If you were lying wounded on a battlefield, would you really care what political party the medic who’s helping you was in? “A nation is only as strong as its citizens.”–author unknown In the midst of it all, get your training done. Don’t get sidetracked by silly nonsense, lop-sided news, or social media hype. None of that junk really matters in a crisis. We need each other whether we want to admit it or not. Look at the floods in North Carolina or the fires in California. Who’s helping the people who were devastated? All kinds of people are. Get strong and stay strong.
