This question comes up a lot.
Keep in mind, personal trainers cannot legally diagnose or treat your shoulder pain.
While some people have improved their shoulder health training with maces & clubs.
not everyone’s shoulders will respond the same way.
Many people are enthralled with trying to self-diagnose their shoulder pain.
That is a very poor substitute for seeing a licensed medical professional.
Here’s are a few points to consider from Mace Fit Level 1 Coach Victoria Islas.
Here’s someone who did get good results training with maces & clubs, my good friend Don Giafardino. creator of Adex clubs & maces & a Mace Fit Level 2 Coach)
“My journey with the development of the adjustable exercise (ad-ex) club began in 2007 after using a one sided dumbbell as a club to rehabilitate a 10 year old shoulder injury. I had watched a video of a man performing mills and thought, that looks like it’d relieve my shoulder from pain. I couldn’t afford one of those clubs at the time, so I improvised by using the dumbbell. It worked so well I figured more folks would want one, but it should be adjustable in weight so almost everyone can use it.”
Always get the facts and make an informed choice.
