Welcome to December, this is when excuses for not training really kick in. The excuses never change, just the faces of the people chnage. Since you are reading this I am sure that doesn’t apply to you. However, you probably know people who quit just about every thing that is good for them. For those of us who train diligently all year, it’s really frustrating to see people you care about just trashing their health. When they are part of your family it’s even worse. I watched my younger brother, who totally negelcted his health, die at an early age. No one could convince him to quit smoking, get some exercise, and eat better. So what can we do about things like that? I say, set the best example by how we live and train. That speaks volumes without saying a word. It does no good to brow beat people. Just live an exemplary life. Go against the grain of the soft, weak culture that surround us. Don’t be like them Quitters are going quit, that’s just what they do. We can’t change that. You can love them from a distance, but son’t ;et them slow you down! Coach D |
