Quick question —
How much of your life happens in a straight line?
How many times a day do you have to pick up or move something that involves twisting your body to some degree?
Now if you’re an athlete you know how important rotational strength is.
It doesn’t matter if you are a tennis player or Highland Games athlete . Rotational strength is a must in these sports.
Just about every sport involving a bat, club, racket, or ball involves rotation of the body.
We love to use steel maces and clubs to build this type of strength.
The Mace Fit program is great for this.
Another point is deceleration after a powerful movement like a baseball or golf swing.
You have to be able to slow back down rapidly in these.
If you have developed well-rounded rotational strength you will be able to do this more safely.
Just a few thoughts as the week winds down,
