This past Saturday I watched an expert MMA coach, Bryan Camacho,
as he worked with my grand-nephew in preparation for his upcoming fight.
Much of the training focused on footwork.
He drilled him repeatedly on the basics.
As a former martial arts instructor myself I knew this guy was a very experienced fighter/coach.
Basic, basics, basics
Sound familiar?
That’s because the basics never fail, no matter what field of training you are in.

At the end of the training Anthony and Coach Bryan got to try out the Adex maces & clubs I had brought along in my van.
Coach Bryan “got it” right away, he told Anthony that this is the kind of training fighters need to do.
One other thing I have learned over the decades is serious coaches never stop learning.

They are humble enough to try new things and become beginners again in a new field.
I look forward to working with these guys in the future.
