TENDONS ARE LIKE STEEL CABLES

During my military years I served as an Airborne Combat Engineer.

We would parachute in  and  blow stuff up or build stuff.

It was a great job.

We relied on good strong materials for our work, like steel cables.

We used them for all kinds of building projects, we even built a suspension bridge using them. It had to be strong enough for heavy vehicles to go on. The cables connected important parts of the bridge, and they did their job well.

There are many different strengths  and sizes of steel cables. Each one is made to handle  a specific load.

The tendons in your body are a lot like steel cables.

They can handle a  certain amount of weight and  speeds at which they are subjected too.

I call them the great connectors.

Here’s a quick look at how they work

One good thing about tendons is that you can make them stronger.

We do that in different ways in our training, here’s a good one right here.

This is an isotonic exercise, meaning the reps are done slow on purpose.

They are very difficult even with light weights.

Isotonics can strengthen you tendons and can be one more “tool” in your training tool box.

Come on in for a free week of workouts ( and stronger tendons of course).
