More Strongman athletes are”getting it” about maces and clubs.
One of the big reasons is how it helps their shoulders stay healthy.
The late Bud Jeffries was the first Strongman I ever saw swing a mace back around 2010
when he did a Strongman workshop at my old gym along with the mighty Scott Weech Jr.
A few years ago, Coringa Conway stopped by our Mace Fit booth at the Tampa Bay Strongman Classic.
The first time he got his hands on one of our heavy clubs he got a huge grin on his face, like this
is the “real deal”.
He later became of one our Certified Mace Fit Level 1 Coaches.
Coringa uses steel maces and clubs at his Strongman gym, Iron Life Athletics in Orlando in addition to all his other classes.
In fact he just had a steel club event as part of Orlando Strongman 4 last month.
Mace Fit was at CrossFit Havoc for their Strongman competition on March 19.
We had some steel maces and clubs on hand so people could try them out.
As always, we had a drawing for a free adjustable Adex steel club.
Chris Coleman out of Lake City was the winner.
CrossFit Havoc does a lot of Strongman training and I knew
tit would be a great show!
