One of the best ways to prevent injuries is to get a good warm up before you do your heavy training. Skipping the warm up is not an option in my classes.

WARMING UP IS VITAL TO A GOOD WORKOUT THESE THREE WILL GET YOUR BLOOD PUMPING! If you don't have time to warm up, you don't have time to workout. It's a different thing altogether if you get into a street fight, then you can't warm up. So, in training do a good warm up.
